"Watching Me Watching You"

Maja Gjajic, Watching Me Watching You, 2017; Digital photography; *Changeable dimensions, Under mentorship of Vjeran Hrpka doc. art.
The idea of the work was to connect the persona of the author/creator with the model, and to inquire only the question and relationship of the two mentioned variables and at the same time to explore relationships inside of the composition which are examined in different ways and are modified through whole art history. The light photography technique enabled realization and creation of the before mentioned situation. It also allowed to the photographer to enter the space where the model was, thus also making the photographer a model of the composition of the photography.
The observer, looking at the photography, is located at the potential place of the photographer, i.e. the lens which marks situation at the moment of taking photography of the composition. The view, which is the main focus of the photography, establishes the communication in the mentioned relation. In that way, the area of the photography is widened outside its borders and enables incessant reflections and interaction of the relationship observer - photographer –model.
